The DDS 7900 Security Ceiling System was designed for the high security areas in all of
the County, State and Federal Institutions. DDS 7900 Security Ceiling System is the Architects answer to Security, Noise Reduction and Style,
the easy to install panels are designed so that the borders on the panels match the ledger
angles and support tees. In cell applications these panels offer extreme resistance to
kicking by the inmate in the upper bunk. In dayroom and corridor applications these panels
offer better visibility and light reflection along with insulation and noise reduction.
The DDS 7900 Security Ceiling System is
available in standard ready to paint Jet Coat material, Galvanized G90 or finished painted
to specifications.
DDS 7900A Security Ceiling System Panel Sections: Sandwich style acoustical ceiling system; formed panel using minimum 16 gauge sheet steel, face to be perforated 3/16" diameter holes on 3/8" 45 degree staggered centers leaving a 2" boarder along the entire length. Panel width is to be 12", 18" or 24" with formed legs 2 1/2" tall and 1/2" formed stiffener. Panel legs are to be securely fastened on 24" centers using #10 TEK screws not accessible from the face. Insulation materials are to be securely held in place using a minimum 16 gauge formed metal backer plate, designed to snap positively within the panel legs.
Ledger Angles: 4" x 4" formed style using 12 gauge sheet steel, factory punched for fastening to wall structure.
Ledger Tees: 4" x 6" (2-ea. 2" x 6"
angles factory assembled) formed style using 12 gauge sheet steel, factory punched
for support rods.
Suspension Rods: 3/8" diameter steel with fixed anchor pad at base end and adjustable yoke at Ledger Tee end
Acoustical Pads: 1 layer of 1 1/2" thick 3/4 lb. density
Noise Reduction: ASTM C-423, minimum N.R.C. of 0.95 Sound Transmission: AIMA 1-11, minimum STC 33 DDS 7900B Security Interlocking Ceiling System Panel Sections: Sandwich style acoustical ceiling system; formed panel using minimum 16 gauge sheet steel, face to be perforated 3/16" diameter holes on 3/8" 45 degree staggered centers leaving a 2" boarder along the entire length. Panel width is to be 12", 18" or 24" with formed legs 2 1/2" tall and 1/2" formed stiffener. Panel legs are to be securely fastened along the entire length using a interlocking flange not accessible from the face. Insulation materials are to be securely held in place using a minimum 16 gauge formed metal backer plate, designed to snap positively within the panel legs.
